Level 3 Diagnostic Category Pricing

Level Three diagnostics are used in repairs where the customer states that the drivability problem is intermittent, but states the exact conditions under which it occurs. The symptoms can be reproduced by a normal or extended road test or while in the service bay.

Level Three diagnostics are to be done only after Level One and Level Two diagnostics have been performed and all discovered problems have been repaired. This level of diagnostics will only apply to vehicles that have some level of computer control and may not uncover intermittent or rare-condition related problems. Some component failures will require repair or replacement before the rest of the diagnostics can be completed. This service may include self-diagnostics or pin-out testing according to individual vehicle characteristics. It does not include exhaustive re-test for possible intermittent sensor failure.
